Brev fra vår fellowship-kirurg

Dr. Georgious Papanikolaou skal ha et fellowship i plastikkirurgi ved Akademikliniken i Oslo i 3 måneder som etterutdanning i estetisk plastikkirurgi.  Han er utdannet spesialist i plastikkirurgi og har vært hos oss i 2 uker.  Her er første brev fra vår fellowship kirurg:

Since this is my first experience abroad I consider myself honoured to be the first fellow in Aesthetic Plastic Surgery at Akademikliniken in Oslo. During my first two weeks of training I assisted in different aesthetic operations and mainly breast reductions, liposuctions and rhinoplasties. Also I attended non surgical rejuvenation procedures such as botox and filler injections performed by the highly trained nurses. The quality standards of the facilities and the courteous staff make the patients feel safe and comfortable. Dr. Bjorn Tvedt and Dr. Mette Haga show particular interest in my surgical training and they are disposable to get me into innovative techniques in the field of Cosmetic Surgery. During the next days I’ll also have the opportunity to visit the walk-in clinic located in Smestad. The great reputation of Akademikliniken combined with the beautiful and picturesque town of Oslo guarantee a pleasant and constructive residence in Norway.

Dr. Georgious øver på nanofett – teknikker

Her er Georgious i gang med å lære seg SNIF og Nanofat teknikker.  SNIF er en fettransplantasjonsteknikk der mikrofett  brukes for permanent fylling av rynker og folder.  Nanofett er stamcellefraksjonen av mikrofett og brukes for å forbedre huden.  Nanofett har også vist lovende resultater på strekkmerker og mørke ringer under øynene.  Nanofett-behandling betyr stamcellebehandling;  Stamcellene isoleres fra fettcellene og injiseres i huden og stimulerer huden til å fornye seg.  Teknikken har  vært i bruk ved Akademikliniken i Oslo siden høsten 2013, og brukes nesten som standard ved fettransplantasjoner og volumbygging i ansikt ved bruk av eget fettvev.  Slik får både underhud og overhud en varig og naturlig forbedring med eget fettvev.
